The Landform
My landform was inspired by the maze-like landscape of Lao May in Taiwan. Land masses snake across the map with channels or pathways running between them. The undefined circulation route is symbolic of the choices and opportunities which exist within the intertwined fields of architecture, architectural computing and engineering with architecture. Students may indivdual journeys towards the monument which may either connect them with students from other courses, or instead separate them depending on their interests.
The map is dominated by the coastal moss texture with various green and brown tones to create a damp surface appearance. Vegetation is limited to a small number of ground cover grasses and shrubs scattered across the map. This is to direct focus at the contours and topography of the landscape.
